ABOUT
ARTIST

Christoph Dahlberg works at the intersection of sculptural work, video and sound. His installations examine how perception shifts through sound and how spaces acquire their own order through acoustic settings. The natural physical space becomes an experimental space and music becomes the science of emotions. Research, investigation and observation of socio-political contemporary issues, translated into tangible installations and approaches through perception-shaping compositions. Units that create understanding through feeling. Viewing and listening offer compassion and empathy, accompanied by seriousness and palpable melancholy, which transforms suppressed events of our world into the center of our consciousness. Dahlberg's work opens the perspective of posthumanism and shows us our position at the heart of the Anthropocene, accompanied by ecological tipping points, war realities and global power and resource relations. Art speaks about what one does not want to speak about. Art commemorates what must not be forgotten. Art makes us feel what we do not want to feel. Courageous, serious and heavy, as a means of a new consciousness in a new age.
